Happenings in First Grade!
Free and Reduced Lunch
Applications must be renewed by , for students to continue in the program. Students will lose their benefits if they have not submitted their application.
Parents can get forms from the front office or process the application and submit online at
**Please make sure you fill out the McKinney ISD background check for this year (it needs to be done every year) if you are wanting to volunteer or go on field trips.
Pease have a set of extra clothes in your child's backpack. Put them in a zip-lock with your child's name. We never know when perhaps food/drink spills at lunch or some other accident occurs. Another set of clothes prevents the need of you having to come to school.
Homework
Your child will be sent home a monthly homework assignment and is due by the last Friday of the month. Click on the homework link below to see their monthly homework assignments. I will also send home a paper copy the first Monday of the month.Their homework journals and folders are in their take home binder.
Reminders:
-Free breakfast is served from 7:35-7:55.
-Please bring a healthy snack and water bottle each day.
-Bring a light jacket if your child gets cold.
-Make sure to bring binders to school everyday.
-Please keep all toys at home unless it is requested.
Teacher wish list: kleenex, copy paper, manilla construction paper, ear buds for the I-Pads, dry erase markers, highlighters, stick glue.
